If the adjustment requires more manual positioning, then you have to find the screw on the top of the nozzle and turn it counterclockwise or clockwise for the same effect.
Sprinkler head adjustment for a “rain bird” sprinkler is slightly different. This irrigation style sprinkler head system has several subsets and several spray head choices that can be adjusted for height, spread and pressure. This sprinkler head adjustment can be made by turning off the water, pinching the sprinkler head manually, and then twisting the outer plastic spray head to either the left or right. This will change the direction of the stream. You can also use a screwdriver to adjust the direction and pressure. The screw is located on the top of the spray head. You simply loosen the screw and then twist it.

Once you finally locate your valves it is time to get to work. Valves issues usually present in a few recognizable ways. They either get stuck, thus allowing the water to run non-stop until it is manually shut off; or, they end up doing the opposite and do not turn on at all, block any water flow. They can also simply “weepâ€, which is a small but never ending leak that can do some serious damage. If weeping is the case it might be time to call in a professional to fix your sprinkler valves.

Hunter has recently released the newest in a long line of irrigation sensors called the Solar Sync, which most likely will change the way most people monitor watering their yards making rain and freeze sensors a thing of the past. Now most irrigation sensors just monitor rain fall and shut the irrigation system down for a period of time set by the user. Freeze sensors do basically the same thing and shut the irrigation system down when outside temperatures get to freezing levels but the Solar Sync sensor is in a league of its own as it monitors outside temperatures and uses that data to calculate the evapotranspiration know as (ET) and determines watering requirements for you.

Due to stricter county and state irrigation restrictions if you are going to setup a new irrigation system you might want to move toward installing a water saving system.
Older irrigation systems just involved a irrigation timer, your average impact sprinklers and a water line. These systems which you most people already have installed at their home or business get the job done but seriously waste water. So what do you need to change or add in order to save water?
First get a rain or freeze sensor. These sensors will shut the irrigation controller off for a period of 24-72 hours after a rain, you can set it up per how much rain you want to trigger the shutoff. Rain bird has come out with a new wireless rain sensor called the wr2-rc. You can set this one up without having to run wires from your garage to the outside of your home or office. Hunter also makes a very good wireless sensor the WRC Sensor. Both of these sensors will get the job done.
Second add some drip irrigation to your plants and shrubs around your home or office. Rotors and spray sprinklers usually put off way too much water which can easily cause many plant diseases and fungus issues if you aren't careful. Drip irrigation is going to be the way of the future so upgrade your older heads.
